Alberoth’s WoW Adventures

I now have 3 characters who are raiding ICC10… all 3 of them have a gear score of over 5k. But as far as I am concerned, gear score is a load of crap metric and ignores how good a player is at actually controlling his toon and getting the best out of his spec.

I am looking forward to raiding some more with these guys… and getting Dramoth up and running as a tank. I have been tanking random HC’s with people and getting complemented on how well I am tanking with him despite the gear score he currently has

Offline from wow and hating every bloody minute of it… Otto from the old house disconnected the broadband there back on the 31st of Jan and I have been trying to use my piece of shit 3 mobile broadband to connect to the internet. Is it good… is it fuck… I will never use 3 mobile for anything in the future. They severely suck dogs balls and I am constantly sitting here with a connection speed of 0 kbps. If it was still within my 14 day cooling off period, I would be going back into the store where I brought it from and shoving it up the guys arse.

However, the bonus is that the cable guy is arriving tomorrow to start setting up everything to get me connected again. Hopefully, I will be back online tomorrow night (or afternoon depending on his arrival time and how long it takes for him to connect everything up.

It also depends on whats sitting down in the UPS warehouse that hasnt been delivered since last week sometime. If my cable modem and the other stuff is in that, I might not have connection until Thursday night. Here is hoping that it is just paperwork and shit for me instead of it being the hardware!

Last week, after trying to do Eye of Eternity with Valderian and having a bad run (3 wipes and people pissed off… where is the dedication guys), I decided to do a single run around the spawn points for Skoll the spirit beast wolf.

On Monday night, I tanked my first heroic 5 man with Dramoth. With the assistance of Xuljin and 3 of his other jin’s we managed to clear it with only 1 wipe and I think that I should do ok, but I just need to practice a lot more in easier dungeons to get the hang of things.

Also on Monday night, I took Alberoth into ICC25 and we killed the first boss before embarking onto an utter wipefest on the second boss.

Last night… TOTC 25… and finally we toasted Anub’Arak on the first try instead of sailing through the other bosses and having a wipefest on him.

Tonight, I am thinking that I might work some more on getting gear for Valderian… just need badges for him so I can keep getting his tier 9 gear which then would mean he can start hitting ICC10 on the nights when I am not raiding with Alberoth.

It is going to be very interesting when I get Nethandros up to that level as well.

Well… it’s been a very eventful couple of weeks since I leveled up Dramoth to 80. I have been working on gearing up Nethandros and doing some extra work on gearing up Valderian and Alberoth.

As things stand, Alberoth is just short of ICC 25 being in his challenging zone. Possibly needs 1 or 2 more items upgraded (might have to do a few days of emblem farming on the random group finder.  Valderian is Onyxia’s Lair 25 ready and is just short of being TOTC 25 and ICC 10 ready. So he would really just need 1 or 2 days of farming the new 5 man instances to get some better gear.

Nethandros is OL 10 and Ulduar 10 ready and is just short of being TOTC 10 and Uld 25 ready. Need to replace his blue items with epics and you would see a massive jump in his score possibly to the point of him being ready for ICC10.

Since I changed Amalisa from PVE Resto/Enhance to PVE Resto/Elem, she has lagged behind a bit but is still capable of doing Uld 10 easily and EOE 25. Need to do a lot of emblem farming with her soon I think to get her better gear for both of her spec’s. Although I am thinking of changing from Elem back to Enhance because she basically has all the gear already and should be good to go.

And Dramoth is right back at the tail with a hell of a lot of work to be doing before he is even close to doing any sort of raiding. I am thinking that once I have the other 4 ICC 25 ready, I will start playing Dram a lot more and really learn how to tank with him and start really gearing his ass up.

The Thero’s are exactly where I left them last and I havent done anything with them since I recovered from my broken arm and got back from my holiday in Portugal.

2010 is going to be an interesting year… Cataclysm should be coming out October/November this year (probably November) and I want to get all my toons up to level 80 so I can continue on with them once the new x-pack comes out. I want to get the Thero’s to level 80 especially so I can start raiding with a fellow multi-boxer on Anachronos. Then I also have the horde team on Argent Dawn that I want to work with. (should log onto them soon as well!)

Well, it’s been a very busy period in the wow world for me… I finally got off my arse and levelled up my rogue (Nethandros) and finally ding’d him max on the 23/12/2009. Then I spent most of the last week starting to gear him up.

That is until about 4 days ago. Then I started to level up my warrior, Dramoth, and I ding’d him max about 2 minutes before midnight on 02/01/2010.

This brings my lvl 80 count to 5 with all of them going to be active in some roles within the guild.

Last night I logged in Val and did a quick loop looking for Skoll… couldnt find him (but he spawned just after I left the first spot he spawns at… arse :() so I went looking for the new spirit beast, Arcturis and he had spawned :DSecond person on the server to tame him I think…And he looks so cool as well…Tonight… Skoll will be mine

Wiped once in Ulda, cleared SM without a wipe it’s all good really :D:D:D

I was running around with the kidlets last night in a warm fuzzy glow and I get a message from Glenlivet asking me how many days played I had on Alberoth. So I logged to Albe and had a look… 86+hours and minutes played. Then Smiddo pipes up and says that I have a gazzilion alts in the game.

So I logged Amalisa and Dramoth and opened Altoholic… 164d played total for the toons on the main account. 64d played on the second account and only 25d played on the third account… and the other two accounts are only about 5d played each (I think).

So all up on the 3 main accounts, I have a total of around 255 days played total. Which isnt too bad considering that I have been playing for over 2.5 years now.

Maybe I need to slow down a bit on the game… nah…

Lately, I have been a bit quite on the instance front, mainly because I have been ramping up on the levelling to try and get these guys to a point where they can complete SM, Ulda and Mara realitively easy.

I have also been boosting my friends paladin healer through some of the lower instances

That being said, I have been running the first couple of instances in SM. I did graveyard just to see how they would go, and ended up running it about 5 times Last night I ran library for the first time. Theropon, the tank, died once, but the rest of the team bailed them out quick smart

I need to run Library again tonight, so I might also see how I go running armory as well just to see if I can get it done. Will be quite a good challange I think.
